Simulation Digest Special Issue
The 100-Year Journey in Computing: A Simulation Perspective

In 1997 ACM celebrates its 50th anniversary of supporting, promoting, and forming the computer field. In conjunction with this, SIGSIM is devoting an issue of Simulation Digest to the anniversary theme. We are seeking papers and news items which discuss the future possibilities for applications of simulation. We are also interested in papers which discuss simulation milestones of the past 50 years.

Material may be in the form of papers, pictures, news articles, or program listings. Papers should discuss the topic from a perspective of interest to a wide range of readers. Pictures, news items, and program listings are sought which highlight simulation accomplishments of the last 50 years.

ACM's 50th anniversary is a celebration of the excitement and success of the computer field and this groups role in contributing to it. The Simulation Digest special issue will join in that celebration, publishing material that will excite members about future opportunities and kindle their pride in past accomplishments.

Please submit material to Dana Wyatt or field ideas to any of the SIG officers.

Submission Deadline: August 1, 1996
Special Issue: Fall 1996
